Kyéra Sterling is a writer and a doctoral student of black art, film and media at Stanford University.  Her writing considers questions of black being and radical embodied selfhood while her research roots in spiritual technologies of the body and their relationships with film and media. She has taught public seminars on black film for the Coolidge Corner Theater in Boston and currently co-chairs programming for Stanford Cinematheque, a graduate-run film screening series. She has worked in natural wine and across Massachusetts state and local politics serving as an organizing director, chief of staff, and the executive director for a bicameral legislative caucus.
